PX MkIII 2021.25MY Sport Pick-up Double Cab 4dr Man 6sp 4x4 1009kg 3.2DT Ford's market-blitzing Ranger lineup comprises two-door, four-door "super" and double-cab cab-chassis/ute variants. Engines include a 118kW/385Nm 2.2-litre turbo-diesel, a 147kW/470Nm 3.2-litre five-cylinder turbo-diesel and a 157kW/500Nnm 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel. Rear-drive, or dual-range 4x4 drivelines are available, along with six-speed manual, and six or 10-speed auto gearboxes. With autonomous emergency braking and the all-singing, all-dancing FordPass Connect in-car tech standard, the five-star ANCAP Ranger lineup begins with a two-passenger 4x2 XL-spec cab-chassis and tops out with the Raptor 4x4 double-cab ute. Here, leather/suede powered and heated sports front seats, sat-nav, climate-control, lane-keep assist and BF Goodrich all-terrain tyres are standard. The nominally one-tonne Ranger can tow as much as 3.5 tonnes.
Anti Lock Brakes
ABS brakes automatically sense when a tire has stopped rotating under extreme braking, and will modulate the brake pressure to allow the tire to rotate.This increases the vehicles ability to turn while braking.
Stability Control
Stability control automatically senses when the vehicles handling limits have been exceeded and reduces engine power and/or applies select brakes to help prevent the driver from losing control of the vehicle.
Front Impact Airbags
Front-impact airbags for the driver and passenger have been designed to protect the head during a frontal crash.
Side Impact Airbags
Side impact airbags for the front seats have been designed to protect the torso during a side impact collision.
Overhead Airbags
Overhead airbags are used to protect the occupant's heads in the event of a side collision or rollover.
Pretensioners
Seatbelt pretensioners automatically tighten seatbelts to place the occupant in the optimal seating position during a collision.
Anti Whiplash
Anti-whiplash head restraints actively react to rear collision forces and craddle the occupants head in an effort to reduce the likelihood of a whiplash injury.
Security System
The vehicle is equipped with a means of anticipating and/or detecting unwanted vehicle intrusion. The vehicle is equipped with an ignition disable device that will prevent the engine from starting if the correct original manufacturer key is not used.
