F40 128ti Hatchback 5dr Steptronic 8sp 2.0T Available in 118i M Sport, 128i and M135i xDrive guise, the Benz A-Class, Audi A3 challenging small BMW benefits from space-efficient packaging that provides extra passenger and luggage space. The entry 118i uses a 103kW/220Nm three-cylinder turbo, while the front-drive 128i hatch, in many ways " except price " matches the Volkswagen Golf GTI. It employs a 180kW/380Nnm version of the M135's 225kW/460Nm 2.0-litre turbo and gets a lowered, more sports-tuned suspension with uprated M Sport brakes and an eight-speed auto gearbox. Standard equipment includes sat-nav, leather-look trim, wireless phone charging, LED headlights and self-parking capability. Safety tech includes autonomous emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring and lane-departure warning.
Anti Lock Brakes
ABS brakes automatically sense when a tire has stopped rotating under extreme braking, and will modulate the brake pressure to allow the tire to rotate.This increases the vehicles ability to turn while braking.
Stability Control
Stability control automatically senses when the vehicles handling limits have been exceeded and reduces engine power and/or applies select brakes to help prevent the driver from losing control of the vehicle.
